The Gangwon Land Hotel COVID-19 Positive Five Casino Clear

Kangwon Land, the country’s only casino resort, confirmed Thursday that five students who tested positive for COVID-19 stayed at the High1 Hotel in the Kangwon Land complex from July 3-4, after phone inquiries from GGRAcia.

A Gangwon Land official also told GGRAcia that the resort’s game facilities are still in operation, although the capacity has decreased due to the pandemic measures as officials did not visit the Gangwon Land casino facilities. Kangwon Land Resort is located in the eastern remote highlands outside of the capital, Seoul.

As of 12 a.m. on Friday, South Korea set a new daily record of 1,316 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours since the first case was reported in the country on Jan. 20, 2020. Friday’s data marked a confirmed tally of 165,344, including 2,036 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health and Welfare. 경마

Yonhap News Agency reported that South Korea announced Friday that it would place the Greater Seoul area at Level 4, the strictest social distancing rule applicable in the country, amid concerns that the new COVID-19 could become a fourth wave in the summer.

According to information collected by GGRAcia’s Korean correspondent, Level 4 requires all casinos located in the affected area to be closed until 10 p.m. every day.
