Coach Park Dong-hyuk’s faith → 1 goal, 2 assists

Park Dae-hoon was the man of the match once again.

Chungnam Asan defeated Chungbuk Cheongju 3-2 in the 26th round of the Hana OneQ K League 2 2023 on Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Yi Sunshin Sports Complex. A total of 7,546 spectators attended the match.

After taking the lead through Kang Min-kyu’s first goal, Chungnam Asan conceded a goal to Georgi to make it 1-1. In the second half, they failed to stop Georgi again and conceded a goal to Lee Seung-jae. Hafael and Duarte, who came on as substitutes at a time of deep defeat, made a huge impact. Hafael scored the equalizer and Duarte created a chance from the right side. Park Dae-hoon scored the winning goal to give Chungnam Asan a 3-2 victory.

Park Dae-hoon was involved in all of Chungnam Asan’s goals on the day with one goal and two assists. Park Dae-hoon came alive in the second half. Park started his professional career with Daejeon Citizen (now Daejeon Hana Citizen) before joining Chungju City FC. Chungju was in the K4, and Park was the league’s top scorer, netting 20 goals in the league alone. He joined Chungnam Asan ahead of the 2023 season, marking his first professional appearance in five years.

With Yoo Kang-hyun going to Daejeon, expectations were high for Park Dae-hoon. With unexpected strikers like Kim In-gyun and Yoo Kang-hyun breaking through every season to join K League 1 clubs for record transfer fees, there were expectations that Park Dae-hoon would join the same ranks. Coach Park Dong-hyuk also had high expectations from the pre-season training, but he was disappointed with his disappointing performances and goalless streak in the early season.

Nevertheless, Park Dong-hyuk continued to use Park Dae-hoon, and he scored a goal against Bucheon FC 1995. After May, he was sidelined for a while due to injury. In his comeback match against FC Anyang, he scored a valuable equalizer to secure a 4-3 victory. After coming off the bench in the next two games, Park scored the winning goal against Seoul Eland. He followed that up with a goal and two assists against Chungbuk Cheongju, which gave him more confidence.

Coach Park Dong-hyuk said, “Dae-hoon didn’t look well, but I believed he could score goals until the end,” and he seemed satisfied that he scored the winning goal.

Park Dae-hoon, who was named the Man of the Match, said, “We conceded a goal after taking the lead. It was good to be able to fight back,” and “I improved my strength while rehabilitating after my injury. I think I was better in the second half than I was in the first half because I reinforced that part,” he said about his recent performance.

Park Dae-hoon, who also scored a goal in a dramatic situation against Anyang, said, “The coach told me to focus on the ball that fell in a contested situation. In the 토토사이트 scoring situation, I expected it to hit the goal, and it did, so I took the shot. I thought it was a goal.” He also said, “I feel better on rainy days. It was tough, but I wanted to turn it around, and I tried to score a goal, which led to a goal.”

“I was nervous today because there were a lot of spectators. The more I played, the more excited I got and the more fun I felt.”
