“We are delighted that West Virginia iGaming providers now have the opportunity to provide multinational poker for their players,” said John Myers, the West Virginia Lottery’s director. “This will significantly increase the potential of participants, allowing players to earn more.”

West Virginia iGaming service providers interested in providing poker in several states must submit a letter of intent to the draw and obtain approval from West Virginia and other relevant Member States.

In 2014, Nevada and Delaware passed congressional bills 114 and 360 during the 77th Nevada Congressional session to share liquidity among customers participating in legitimate forms of online gaming within the geographical boundaries of both jurisdictions. New Jersey became a party to the agreement in 2017, followed by Michigan in 2022.

The Multi-State Internet Gaming Association LLC, a Delaware corporation, manages the affairs of the Member States that are the parties to the Convention. Currently, Michigan, Nevada, and West Virginia provide online poker to member states. Delaware and New Jersey currently offer online poker, but states can offer a variety of online games.
