The Kentucky Approves Temporary Sports Betting License

Governor Andy Beshear announced yesterday that the Kentucky Racing Authority (KHRC) has voted to approve temporary licenses for sports betting operators and service providers. The temporary license grants a maximum operating period of one year in the state during ongoing review. With these license approvals, Kentucky betting companies now know what mobile applications will be licensed in the state and retail facilities to make sports betting. 슬롯머신

“The countdown continues as retail stores open in 16 days, getting closer to sports betting,” Governor Beshear said. “I’d like to thank the KHRC members for doing this right and for their dedication to getting it done in time for the opening of the NFL season.”

“We’re excited to open sports betting on target dates because we continue to work through this careful process of committing and betting to be sincere in Kentucky,” said KHRC President Jonathan Rabinowitz.

Sports betting is expected to increase state revenues by about $23 million a year following full implementation. Revenue growth will be covered by Kentucky Permanent Pension Fund after supporting oversight of sports betting. An additional 2.5% would support problem gambling support accounts run by the Health and Family Services Cabinet.
