Professional Footballers Association Invites Yoo Yeon-soo To Retired All-Star Game After Being Hit By DUI

The Korea Professional Football Association (KFA) will invite Yoo Yeon-soo, a former Jeju United goalkeeper, to the “2023 2nd All-Star Game” held at the end of the year.

The Players Association, which is preparing for the charity All-Star Game, decided to invite Jeju goalkeeper Yoo Yeon-soo, whose dream of becoming a player was blown away by a drunk driving vehicle, to the event. The Korea Athletes’ Association announced on the 16th that it will work together to help Yoo rehabilitate.

Yoo Yeon-soo was hit by a drunk driving vehicle last year and suffered a major injury that paralyzed his lower body. Yoo focused on rehabilitation for nearly a year, but eventually retired at the age of 25.

Kim Hoon-ki, secretary-general of the Korean Professional Football Association, explained, “We will work hard in many ways for Yoo Yeon-soo, who has lost his dream of becoming a soccer player even though he is a victim of drunk driving.” 스포츠토토
