Howard Hughes Holdings Appoints Anton D. Nicodemus As Entertainment Division CEO

Howard Hughes Inc. announced that Anton D. Nikodemus has been named CEO of Seaport Entertainment, a newly formed division composed of the company’s entertainment-related assets in New York and Las Vegas, the company’s ownership of Jean-Georges restaurants, and an 80% stake in tickets on the fashion show mall used to build a new casino on Las Vegas Streep, including the Seaport and Las Vegas Aviators Triple-A Minor League Baseball teams in Lower Manhattan.

Nicodemus is a veteran of the entertainment and hospitality industry and will serve as CEO of Seaport Entertainment, a newly independent subsidiary that will hold the company’s award-winning entertainment and culinary assets. Nicodemus will focus on providing a world-class guest experience, accelerating growth and operational performance, and exploring new strategic opportunities for expansion.

Howard Hughes Inc. is establishing Seaport Entertainment with plans to complete its spin-off into the publicly traded company by the end of 2024. Seaport Entertainment’s separation plan from Howard Hughes will improve HHH’s identity as a pure real estate company focused solely on its acclaimed master plan community portfolio. 경마사이트

“Anton is an outstanding leader in the world of entertainment and resorts. It speaks to the quality of our entertainment assets that we were able to recruit Howard Hughes with a management team of his caliber,” said Bill Ackman, chairman of the board of directors at Howard Hughes Holdings. “Anton’s experience, track record, and exceptional leadership skills will help Seport Entertainment establish, manage, and ultimately position Howard Hughes for greater success as a more focused and understandable company.”

With over 30 years of experience in the entertainment and hospitality industries, Nikodemus has led the development and operation of the travel industry’s top destination brands. He most recently served as City Center President and COO of MGM Resorts International, where he oversaw operations at Cosmopolitan, Vdara Hotel & Spa, and ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. He was also responsible for the production and development of MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino in Maryland and MGM Springfield in Massachusetts.

Before joining MGM in 2005, Nikodemus oversaw the redevelopment and management of Boca Raton Resort & Club. He previously held managerial roles at luxury resorts including The Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa and The Phenaic Resort. Nikodemus holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing from Arizona State University and a graduate of the Advanced Finance Program from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Nikodemus said, “We’re excited to lead Howard Hughes’ new division and join the outstanding team that’s building up Seaport Entertainment.” “There will be tremendous opportunities ahead as we leverage, unlock, and seek new opportunities for accelerated growth in this unique asset, located in New York and Las Vegas, one of the most dynamic entertainment destinations in the country.”

Seaport Entertainment’s anticipated split will allow the new company to operate independently as a pure entertainment company with a strong team of industry leaders to ensure long-term success. The split is expected to be completed at the end of 2024, but we are not sure about the eventual timing of the split, nor are we confident that it will ultimately take place.

“Seport Entertainment’s assets are at the intersection of real estate and entertainment,” said David R. O’Reilly, CEO of Howard Hughes. “Anton brings tremendous experience in building some of the most lauded entertainment destinations in America, and we are fortunate that he will take the helm of Howard Hughes’ exciting new division.”
