US Major League Baseball, free agent left-handed pitcher Ham Deok-ju background check

The Major League Baseball (MLB) secretariat has requested an identity check on left-handed pitcher Ham Deok-ju (28).

The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) said on Tuesday, “We received a request from the MLB Secretariat for an identity check on LG Twins’ Ham Deok-ju and informed them that the player is a free agent (FA) and can sign a contract with any team, including overseas teams.”

Korean players looking to go overseas must receive a background check request from a U.S. or Japanese professional baseball team before they can be officially contacted.

In some cases, this does not lead to an actual offer.

Ham Deok-ju has yet to publicly announce his intention to play overseas.

Ham began his professional career with the Doosan Bears in 2013 before being traded to LG ahead of the 2021 season.

He struggled with injuries in 2021 and 2022, but this year, he appeared in 57 games with a 4-4 record, 16 saves, and a 1.62 ERA. He also pitched well in the Korean Series, allowing one run on three hits in four and a third innings, earning a save.

In 397 career regular-season games, Ham has a 35-21 record, 59 saves, 49 relief appearances, and a 3.50 ERA.

He is eligible for free agency after the 2023 season, and has been in the spotlight as LG closer Ko Woo-seok pushes for a move to the major leagues through a non-public competitive bidding process.

Korean baseball organization LG has also started negotiations with Ham Deok-ju. 슬롯

LPGA Tour finalist Yang Hee-young makes ‘surprise transformation’ to caddie for Jennifer Song

After winning the season finale on the U.S. Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour for the fifth time in four years and nine months, Hee Young Yang, 34, will head to the LPGA Tour’s Qualifying (Q) Series, which begins next month.

This is not Yang’s first time competing in the Q Series.

She will caddie for her friend and longtime LPGA Tour teammate Jennifer Song, an American expatriate, LPGA.com reported on Tuesday.

Born in the U.S. while her father was a visiting professor, Song finished high school in South Korea but became a U.S. citizen after graduating from the University of Southern California (USC). Her Korean name is Song Min-young.

Jennifer Song finished second on the money list on the secondary tour in 2010 and made the LPGA Tour the following year, but she has yet to taste victory.

This year, she finished 155th on the money list and 149th in CME Globe Points and lost her tour card for next year. She will need to finish in the top 20 in the Q-Series to play on the LPGA Tour again.

When Jennifer Song, who beat Bae, asked Yang to caddie for her in the Q-Series, Yang didn’t hesitate to say yes, LPGA.com reported.

She explained that she was happy to help her friend in the toughest event of the year, the Q-Series.

Unlike other players who usually use local caddies, it will be interesting to see how Jennifer Song’s choice to have a veteran player with 80 top-10 finishes and five wins on the LPGA Tour will turn out. 파워볼사이트

Yoo Kang-hyun, Kim Min-deok, Cho Jin-woo, Lee Sang-min, Sang-min, and Sangmu pass…

Four new recruits will join professional soccer’s K League 2 champions Gimcheon Commerce early next year as they move up to the first division.

The Armed Forces Recruitment Agency notified applicants individually for 30 days whether they passed the first batch of 2024 Armed Forces Sports Specialists.

Based on what the K League 1 and 2 clubs have learned about the players, Yoo Kang-hyun, Kim Min-duk (Daejeon), Cho Jin-woo (Daegu), and Lee Sang-min (Seongnam) will play for Gimcheon next season. They will join the team on January 2.

The team only recruited players who can play the striker and center back positions, so all applicants who played other positions were rejected.

In June, Gimcheon selected 17 players, including Baek Seung-ho, Song Min-kyu (formerly of Jeonbuk), Seol Young-woo, and Uhm Won-sang (formerly of Ulsan), as the second batch of 2023 Armed Forces Sports Specialists.

Among them, Baek Seung-ho, Song Min-kyu, Seol Young-woo, and Uhm Won-sang received military service benefits after competing at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games and winning gold under the leadership of Hwang Sun-hong.

Cho Young-wook, who has been Gimcheon’s mainstay this season, also received an “early discharge” for his performance at the Asian Games. He completed his remaining military training and was discharged today.

Lee Sang-min was originally called up by Hwang to the final roster for the Asian Games.

However, it was later confirmed that he was caught driving under the influence of alcohol in 2020 and fined 5 million won ($4,000), making him ineligible for selection, and he ended up completing his military service through Gimcheon.

Competing in K League 1 in the 2022 season, Gimcheon fell to 11th place and was relegated to K League 2 after a promotion playoff.

The desperate Gimcheon (22 wins, 5 draws, 9 losses, 71 points), who won the K League 2 title this season over Busan I-Park (20 wins, 10 draws, 5 losses, 70 points), will return to the top division after one season. 토토사이트
