Ten Haag banned for Everton due to accumulated cautions

Ten Hagh will not play against Everton.

“Eric den Haag will not be on the touchline for Manchester United’s next Premier League match against Everton,” soccer media outlet Tribuna reported on Wednesday (ET).

Manchester United narrowly defeated Luton Town 1-0 in the 12th round of the English Premier League (EPL) at Old Trafford in Manchester, England on Nov. 12, with Lindelof scoring the winning goal.

Due to Ten Haag’s behavior in this match, he was suspended for the next match. He received a yellow card in the second half for saying something to the referee.

This brings his total to three yellow cards this season. Ten Haag also received yellow cards against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. According to Premier League rules, if a manager receives multiple yellow cards, he is suspended for the next match.

As such, he will not be able to stand on the touchline for that game and assistant coach Mitchell van der Gaag will take over as head coach.

Despite the ban, Ten Haag was not too worried: he said, “We have to accept it. It’s not nice, but we will prepare for Everton and the coaching staff will take over the role and they are very competent,” he said.

Ten Hagg was not the only one to take away from the game against Luton, however. The win over Luton Town secured three points at Old Trafford, making him the first manager in club history to win 30 of his first 50 league games.

He also has more points (96) than Jürgen Klopp has in his first 50 Premier League games as Liverpool manager (92).

United have won three of their last five Premier League games and are just seven points behind league leaders Manchester City.

However, the Red Devils face a hellish schedule in December. Starting with an away game against Newcastle on 안전놀이터 December 3, they face Chelsea, Bournemouth, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, West Ham, and Aston Villa. Dropping a lot of points in these games will make things difficult for Van Gaal.
