Sendai’s inability to control the foreign player duo of John Mooney (21 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists) and Christopher Smith (15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists), as well as Watanabe (12 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists) and Togashi (10 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists), resulted in the team being dragged down throughout the game.
South Korea’s Yang Jae-min started and played 23 minutes and 9 seconds. He finished with six points and five rebounds. He had two three-point attempts, but both missed the rim. He also split time with Stanton Kidd (19 points, five rebounds, and two assists), but was unable to help the team to victory.
Yang, who is in his second season with Sendai, will play his first regular season game on October 5 against the Yokohama B-Corsairs.
