The Korean National Sports Federation (KNSF) has selected Jeongseon Sabuk Taekwondo sisters Lee Yeo-jin (Sabuk Middle School 2) as a youth national team member and her younger sister Lee Ha-yul (Sabuk Elementary School 5) as a dream team member.

Lee Yeo-jin (Sabuk Middle School 2) is the national champion in the women’s under-53 kilogram category. She won first place in the women’s middleweight division at the final selection for the national team to send to the Sarajevo 2023 World and 5th Asian Cadet Taekwondo Championships on June 8-9 at Andong Gymnasium. The athlete will leave the country on Aug. 23 to compete at the World Kadet Taekwondo Championships in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Aug. 28-31. His younger brother, Lee Hae-yul, was selected to the national team last year after winning the Gangwon Province Association Championships, the Gangwon Province Children’s Taekwondo King, the Korea Primary School Federation Presidential Championships, the Korea Primary School Federation Excellent Athlete Selection and the Korea Primary School Federation Strongest Athlete Competition. To top it all off, Sabuk-joong was selected to receive a grant from the Korea Sports Federation to support the creation of new sports programs.
