Daegu appointed Park Chang-hyun as its 14th head coach.

Professional soccer’s K League 1 Daegu FC announced on Wednesday that it has appointed Hongik University head coach Park Chang-hyun (57) as its 14th head coach.

Park made his professional debut in 1989 and played for Pohang Steel and Jeonnam Dragons before finishing his playing career.

After retiring from active play, he gained coaching experience in high school and college soccer since 1997 before being named coach of the Pohang Steelers in 2008.

Park helped the team win the FA Cup, League Cup, and AFC Champions League in his three seasons in charge, 토토사이트 and also served as Pohang’s acting head coach for seven months from May 2010 (7 wins, 8 draws, and 6 losses).

Since then, he has been coaching college players since 2017, most recently at Hongik University.

On his appointment,

Park said, “I am honored to take over as Daegu’s head coach. I am confident that my experience on the field is second to none. My goal is to stably lead the team in a difficult situation to a high position,” said Park.
