Hong Jin-ju set the record for the lowest 18-hole score on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Champions Tour.
Hong shot a 10-under-par 62 in the second round on the final day of the third KLPGA SBS Golf Champion Tour event ($100 million in prize money) at Aegis Sky CC (Par 72, 5,773 yards) in Daegu on Saturday.
Her final total of 14-under-par 130 earned her a three-stroke victory over runner-up Choi Hye-jung and the 15 million won prize.
Hong’s 10-under-par 62 is the lowest 18-hole score on the KLPGA Champions Tour. The previous record was 9-under par by Yoo Yoo-hee in 2018.
With her three consecutive top finishes, Hong became the first woman to win three consecutive tournaments on the Champions Tour in 18 years since Hyung Im Kim in 2006.
Hong also secured the top spot on the money list with 47.9 million won for the season.
Hong, who has two career wins on the KLPGA regular tour, won the 2006 Kolon Hana Bank Championship on the U.S. Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour. 메이저사이트
